We love you so much Grandma, and we will miss you greatly.

Margaret C. Adams 1919 ~ 2008 BOISE, IDAHO- Margaret C. Adams passed away Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, of natural causes, surrounded her loving family. She was born May 27, 1919, in Hinckley, Utah, to Andrew B. and Sarah B Christenson. She married Dr. Richard Paul Adams on December 23, 1940. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Margaret was an R.N. and served in both her husband's early medical practice and also hospital and doctors' office settings and was known for her competence and loving care. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout her life including a church service mission at LDS Church headquarters with her husband as well as a full-time mission at the age of 80 along with her beloved sister, Lucile C. Tate, in Washington D.C. She served as an officiator in the Jordan River Temple. She loved the scriptures and was a voracious reader. Her adventurous nature was satisfied by traveling over many years with her husband, Paul, to wonderful destinations around the world. Her greatest joy was her family and she devoted much of her time in celebrating special events in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: David (Anna) Adams, Clovis, California; Marsha (Lowell) Castleton, Boise, Idaho; Dennis (Susan) Adams, Othello, Washington; and Douglas (Jan) Adams, Pleasant View, Utah, 20 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by an older sister, Lucile C. Tate, Salt Lake City, Utah. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard Paul Adams, who died April 8, 1997, and a son, Richard Paul Adams, Jr., who died in 1946. Funeral services will be held at noon on Sat., March 29, 2008, at Lake Hills Memorial, 10055 S. State, Sandy, Utah. The services will be preceded by a viewing at the same funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Provo City Cemetery. Published in the Deseret News from 3/26/2008 - 3/27/2008.

Trip to the park

Tonight we needed to get out. We took our first trip to the park in our new neighborhood. We had a lot of fun. The kids grabbed their basketball and we headed up the hill to the park. Ellis swung in a swing for his first time. He was laughing and smiling. It was really cute. Bruce, Braden and Hunter played basketball and practiced their shooting skills. Thank goodness it was finally nice enough weather to get outside and play a little bit. We are sick of rain and cold weather.

Mr. Binker

Since moving to the new home (which is just below some great foothill trails by Tablerock), Hunter has let us know he wants to go geode trekking up in the foothills because, as he says, it's probably a great place to find them. Then, this afternoon while Hunter and Braden were playing baseball in the backyard, Hunter found a crystal-like rock under some leaves and was very excited about it. It was a pretty stone, and when I told Hunter that his first question was "How much money do you think I can sell it for?" He wants to make some money hunting for treasure in the foothills.

By the way, Hunter now has an email address: it's wiikendmaster@hotmail.com. He came up with that one one his own, and we thought it was pretty clever, where Hunter loves to play the Wii and he and Braden typically get that privilege on the weekends.

It was Ellis, in the bathroom, with the wii remote.

Earlier today I heard this water noise coming from the bathroom - Yep is was Ellis using the wii remote to swirl the toilet water around. It was totally disgusting to see him in there, but while I was sanitizing him off in the tub (and after I had yelled at Braden and Hunter for leaving the remote on the floor) I was thinking about the cute look Ellis gave me when I walked in the bathroom. It was like - Hi mom look I am helping you clean the toilet. It is really fun. Aren't you happy? Ellis is growing and changing so much every day. It is an exciting time to observe his changes and to be able to be at home with him so I don't have to miss anything in this intense developmental period in his life. Thursday I spent all day in the garage trying to sort boxes. Ellis was so much fun to watch. He was wanting to help. He was right by my side sweeping and taking things out of boxes.

Tonight the Bishop and his wife came over to visit with out family. Ellis was actually quite well-behaved, except that he wanted to be passed from Mom to Dad to Braden to Hunter and then back again. I was holding him on my lap when he scooted himself off onto the floor and found himself standing up all by himself on the floor with no one even touching him. He stood there for a few seconds and I think he realized what was going on, because he decided that people who stand up by themselves must walk. So he took one step forward and fell to the ground. But it was a step!

More Bradenisms

Tonight at the dinner table Braden and Hunter were having a lengthy conversation about kings and presidents. One then asked Rosy and I who the president of the world was. We replied that there was no president of the world. They then talked for a few more minutes, until Hunter mentioned the king of the universe. Braden, relying on what we had said about the king of the world, told Hunter that there wasn't a king of the universe. Hunter begged to differ, and when Braden asked who it was Hunter replied "Heavenly Father." "Oh," Braden said. Hunter then said that only a few people have ever seen Him, including Nephi and Lehi and Joseph Smith. And then Braden added "and Evan Baxter."

Braden

Braden is so hilarious. He just cracks me up. On Sunday Bruce and Hunter were at the baptism preview so it was just Ellis, me and Braden at home. The kitchen was not quite unpacked so I didn't really plan dinner. I made Braden a can of Progresso clam chowder and some corn. I was not really hungry so I didn't eat. When I was walking past the dining area Braden said, "well this is a sad Sunday dinner". I just started laughing. Then he said, "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings mom, I mean it's a classic". It was so funny and cute that he wanted a nice Sunday dinner.

Also on Sunday, Hunter hopped in the car after church. It was the first time at our new ward. I asked how everything went. He said, "fine except Braden made me totally embarrassed". I guess Braden introduced himself to the primary. He said something like - "Hi my name is Braden (in his adorable booming voice). I am new to the ward. We moved in from Bergeson ward. I was really scared to move but now it is good. I thought my house was going to be snaggy, but it is beautiful". Personally I hate talking in front of people unless I know them. I just don't have the courage. Bruce really does not share a lot of information with people either. I wonder where Braden gets it from?? Maybe it is the Lowell gene.

Life.....

So - We have been soooo busy. We have moved to a great little house on the Mesa off of Warm Springs. We have a shady yard (thank goodness) with mature trees. The kids can play in the yard, at the parks up here and we are with in walking distances to many hiking and biking trail heads - including table rock. Hunter is very excited to go on a hike. We were planning on going on Saturday, but it was a cold, windy, and rainy day. We are happy to be moved. This past week has been very busy cleaning, packing, and unpacking. Marsha has been a great help. I would have just spent my days slowly doing it by myself. -- Not because no one offered to help, but because I won't take anyone up on their offers. She just insists on helping. It is greatly appreciated. Ellis does not allow me to get much done, but we have a lot of fun. This past week he has helped unload kitchen cupbords and the dryer. He is a busy baby on the move. This week is Lizzy and Josh's wedding. I am very happy for them and excited to go to Idaho Falls and see Melanie and Russon's family and Andrew and Launa's family/

going to a girls birthday

My friend Emili invited me and Braden and Ellis to her party at Pump it Up. We had a lot of fun. I won Braden doing the running course. I beat Emili at boxing. Braden beat me at boxing. The cake was yummy.
