Braden and Judge Castleton

Braden got to see his Grandpa Castleton in court today as part of a merit badge he was working on. Afterwards Judge Castleton invited him to come sit on the bench and take a tour of the courthouse. Braden thought that getting the special treatment from his Grandpa was great, altough I don't think that, after the hearings he sat through, he thinks what his dad does for a living is too exciting.

Snow Camp

Two weeks ago we went camping near Loman, Idaho. And it was very cold that night, and got down to around 13 degrees. But me and Dad were still fine. We slept in snow caves. And the next morning we had 1 new inch of snow and had a very good breakfast. That afternoon we built a sledding track (like the luge), and a scout (Chris) had a crash (but he was okay). Then we helped build a new snow cave out of snow blocks. It was a very cold night but a fun camp. We kept warm by sleeping in poly pro and inside two sleeping bags.

Me helping to build a new snow cave. We made snow blocks with a snow saw and a machete, and then stacked the blocks to make an igloo. It was a lot of fun.
